Gator Bites: Week of November 28th

Good Evening Sherratt Families!

**Please be sure to read to the bottom of each Gator Bites to find important attachments!!

We had a wonderful week recognizing Kindness and working on eliminating bullying. Our student participated in High Five Hallways on MondayTuesday we completed our #sherrattcares graffiti wall. Wednesday we wore pink as a sign of solidarity against bullying and Thursday we practiced random acts of kindness. We are very proud of our students and how we look out for one another in play, in learning and in the community. See attached photo of a couple of students showing school spirit.

Keeping our Students Safe: A reminder to families that students should be using our sidewalks to enter and exit our school property. Students should not use the pathway on the West side of the building as there is no supervision along this side, and the only way to get to this path is by walking through our very busy front parking lot. We have had several near misses with students walking out between cars in the middle of the parking lot. All students, parents and community members are requested to use the East side of the building for entering our blacktop as there are 2 paved paths for safe arrival.

Parents are also reminded to drop their child off at the blacktop and allow the students to enter the school with their teachers. If a parent has an appointment at the school, we require you to enter via our front doors and sign in at the office and get a visitors tag.

Enjoy the longer weekend!
