posted Dec 3, 2018, 12:29 PM by David Willoughby ‎[Staff]‎

Congratulations to our Boys Volleyball team who competed in the Halton North semi-finals on Wednesday night in George town.  We are so proud of your hard work this season! Thank you to Mr. Kerschner and Mr. Baker for the time they put in to coaching these amazing kids!

Thank you to Mr. Hull for organising two amazing music visits this week, we were able to celebrate the magic of  music at Sherratt this week! We were lucky to host the IBO Brass Band of Oakville on Tuesday, as well as our friends and former students from Milton District who performed for us on Wednesday.

Grade 4 Students went to the ROM this week and had an amazing time learning more about rocks and minerals.  They had a tour of the Rocks and Minerals gallery followed by exploring further through experiments in the lab.

Thank you to Ms. Gabriel for all of her hard work in creating our first “Gator Houses” whole school event on Friday! Students from all grades were placed into a “house” and led by our intermediate students who ran activities with each small group.  Our focus for this event was on respect and kindness. We will visit a different character attribute each time we host this fun event. We are so proud of how well our students took on their leadership roles, and how excited our younger students were to be part of this event!

Holiday Extravaganza -  WE NEED MORE DONATIONS!!  The Extravaganza is next Friday and we still need A LOT of items to make this event happen! Please send in any items that we can use for our shopping tables: Books, games, jewellery, household items, toys, picture frames, knick knacks and anything else you can think of that someone might like as a gift!  Wrapping paper, gift bags, tape, tags, ribbon & bows are also needed. Thank you for your donations!

Lost and Found: has been on display all week.  We will be packing it up on Tuesday. Please come in on Monday if you haven’t already done so to collect your lost items!

Weather Reminder: As the winter weather is upon us, please remember to bring appropriate clothing and attire with you to school. Our students love playing in snow!
