Gator Bites: Week of November 19th

Good Evening Gators!

Thank you to all the families who came to our Student Led Conferences this week. It was great to see our students sharing their learning goals with their families.

Book Fair: Thank you to Ms. Belford and all of our parent volunteers who made our book fair so successful. We loved how our learning commons transformed into an enchanted, magical space!  


Lost and Found: We have displayed the lost and found items this week, please note, they will be on display for another week, please collect your lost items!

Silent Auction Baskets: School Council is hosting a Silent Auction during the Winter Concert evening on Wednesday, December 12th . All proceeds will go towards our S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) initiatives at Sam Sherratt Public School.  Please donate items by Friday, November 30th. Please see attached flyer for more details.

Weather Reminder: As the winter weather is upon us, please remember to bring appropriate clothing and attire with you to school. Our students love playing in the snow!

Parking Lot Reminder: With the winter weather also comes icy road conditions. Please use our parking lot drop off with caution. We want to keep our students safe.

Community Events:

E. W. Foster Elvis Performance - E. W. Foster’s School Council has organized a fundraising concert featuring Steve Kabakos, as Elvis, next Wednesday, November 28, 2018 – 6:30 Show Time. Members of the public can buy tickets through School Cash Online or they can come to the school office.  Please see attachment for more information.

Wali Shah at Milton District HS Theatre, November 29th, 7pm - 8pm. Wali Shah Shares His Family’s Road to His Success.  U of T graduate, professional speaker and renowned artist Wali Shah tells the success story of his family. From their arrival at the Toronto airport from Pakistan when he was three years old, learn how they lived their dream of seeing him receive a world class education. Join us to hear what he learned along the way, both in and outside of his classes, and how his parents’ support profoundly affected his dreams and his success.
