Gator Bites: Week of January 15th

posted Jan 13, 2018, 10:56 AM by David Willoughby

Good Evening Gator Families and welcome back!

It has been a snowy slow start to our first week of school in January...and an icy end to the week.

Our Peace Keepers participated in a half day training session on Wednesday and completed activities, discussion and role plays on how to solve small conflicts using a program called Kelso´s Choices. We are so proud of our Peace Keepers for volunteering their time and for bringing their enthusiasm and expertise to the playground every day!

We had a team of staff members attend the Halton District School Board Equity Inquiry Training on Thursday. We are excited to be participating in an Equity Inquiry Project with our staff and students and look forward to sharing our learning with Staff and our Parent Community.

A reminder that in the mornings at drop off, at the back of our school, we have adult supervision at 8:35 on the blacktop areas only.

Kindergarten Registration begins January 15th!

Please come in Monday through Friday after 10am to register your child for Kindergarten next year. Please see the attached information regarding the registration process. Please let your friends and neighbours know if they have Kindergarten age children.

Dance-a-thon: We have our annual Dance-a-thon coming up on Friday, Feb 15th, 2018. We will be sending more information home shortly.

In Partnership,

Maggie Parker, Principal

Bita Watts - Vice Principal

and the Staff of Sam Sherratt
