posted Dec 4, 2017, 11:48 AM by David Willoughby

Good Evening Gator Families!

We would like to start by thanking all of the amazing staff, students and families at Sam Sherratt for doing such an incredible job this week. Everybody did exactly what they were suppose to do and even more. We are so very proud to serve a school community that supports one another and in the face of challenge remains positive and pulls together as a community should; we thank you.

Vex Robotics: We will be hosting our Junior Vex Robotics Tournament this evening at school from 3:30- 6:00pm.

Our Vex teams will also be competing tomorrow at Craig Keilburger H.S.. Thank you to Ms. Paulson, Mr. Massari and Mr. Costello for all of your hard work!!

Thank you to Mr. Goral’s grade 8 class for running our Equity Day this week!! His students went to visit grade 6, 7 and 8 classes to raise awareness and teach students about acceptance based on Halton’s 7 diverse equity lenses. Thank you!

Parent Council: Reminder that we have a Parent Council meeting on Monday, Dec 4th, 2017 beginning at 6:30pm.

Families who use transportation: Please be advised that effective Monday,, Dec. 4th, 2017 bus route 609 AM will be switching operators and changing Route number. The new route number for the students will be 726 AM, which will be covered by First Student. As a result, there will be a 5 minute earlier pick up time.

Also, there will be a driver change on Route 614 PM to help with present delays. The drop off times for the students will now be running on time. The route number will remain as 614.

If you would like to verify your children’s pick up and drop off times you can access the information on the transportation website http://www.haltonbus.ca in the transportation section on the HDSB main page. You will be required to click on Transportation Schedules and input your student’s OEN number, house number, school of attendance and grade to obtain the bussing details.

In Partnership,

Maggie Parker, Principal

Bita Watts - Vice Principal

and the Staff of Sam Sherratt

Recently we purchased Vex materials to support the after school robotics program, and the students are loving them! Help us do more.
