Cultural Fair: Thank you to Mr. Goral, Ms. Byrne and Mr. Hull for supporting students in their collaborative inquiry projects on various cultures and countries.  Students worked together to research information, food and music from a variety of places around the world to share with our school community!

Ms. Byrne and Mr. Costello’s class were able to connect with Dr. Jane Goodall on April 9th, they got to hear about "how every individuals’ actions can have a big impact." It was part of a Microsoft sponsored world-wide Skype. Kids from all around the world got to ask questions and Dr. Jane spoke about how young people can make a huge difference in their world. An exciting learning opportunity for both classes, who are studying the work of Dr. Goodall and biodiversity.

Donated formal wear available:  The Halton District School Board will host open houses in April and May for students to select, at no cost, donated formal wear for their prom or graduation.

Called Fashion Forward, students will have the opportunity to view and try on formal wear in a friendly and welcoming environment. Students may select from a variety of new and gently-used attire that has been donated for proms, graduations and other special events. There are many different styles, colours, and sizes of formal dresses available as well as suits, shirts, ties and shoes.

The dates to browse for prom wear are Tuesday, April 30 and Thursday, May 9. Each open house runs from 3 - 6 p.m. and will be held at the Milton Staff Learning Centre (215 Ontario Street South, Milton).  Students are required to bring student identification to the open house they attend.
